What is required to install the Intoxalock®?
The installation requires a 4-6 wire ignition interrupt that includes a wiring harness, a relay box, and a hand held breath analyzer. CST provides all of this for each customer that you install.

How does the Service Center get paid?
The Service Center collects payment directly from the client for the following procedures:
A. Installation - Approximately 1 hour of pre scheduled tech time depending on the vehicle
B. Recalibration and Visual Inspection - Approximately 10 minutes every other month (varies by state)
A recalibration consists of exchanging a current unit for a new one. This allows for downloading of the information stored on the data logs as well as to make sure each unit is correctly calibrated. Regulations vary from state to state; however, they all require a recalibration, generally every 60 days. Depending on your state, the client will either return to the Service Center for our “
Quick Exchange” option or participate in the “
Direct Exchange” program where the equipment shipped directly to the customer.

What paperwork is required to be completed by the Service Center?
All required documentation will be pre-printed and completed by CST and included in the installation packet. The Service Center will be required to sign the installation documents. These documents will be given to the client at the time of installation. Some states have specific requirements that will be identified in the installation packet.

Why should I become an Authorized Service Center?
Most of our customers are required by state mandate to have an ignition interlock installed. We want to send them on to you. Not only will you have up to 2.5 hours of scheduled tech time, you also have the opportunity to up-sell each customer. All at NO COST to you! In addition, you will also be able to say with pride that you are helping keep your community safer.
To become an Authorized Service Center you will need to complete and return The Service Center Agreement along with a copy of your Garage Keepers policy. Some states also require a certification through the state for the service center as well as the individual installer. Most state will not approve an installer if there was a DUI conviction within the last five (5) years. Click HERE to see what special requirements your state may have.
